Si en 2017, el entonces alumnado de 1º de ESO fue distinguido por su proyecto «Futbolbotella» con el Premio Estatal Aprendizaje- Servicio de Cooperación al Desarrollo. Y en 2018, el proyecto intercentros «Otras Miradas», le valió al alumnado de Bachillerato el Premio de Igualdad de Género. Este año 2020 el proyecto La Mar de vida, abanderado por los niños y las niñas de 4º de Primaria, ha resultado finalista de los premios estatales de entre 330 proyectos presentados por 500 centros educativos de toda España.
El aprendizaje-servicio (ApS) es una manera de aprender haciendo un servicio a la comunidad.
«Frente a una necesidad social, los chicos y chicas emprenden una acción de servicio a la comunidad que les ayuda a aplicar y consolidar aprendizajes en conocimientos, habilidades, actitudes, competencias, despertando su talento y poniéndolo a trabajar para el bien común» Red Estatal de Aprendizaje- Servicio.
Esta es la definición «formal» del ApS, pero al alumnado que participamos en Futbolbotella y en Otras Miradas, esta metodología nos ha aportado mucho más. Nos ha enseñado a VER y MIRAR DE OTRA MANERA y a darnos cuenta de que tras esa mirada, reflexiva y compartida, había que caminar juntos. Desde las aulas a las instituciones con el apoyo de las familias, del tejido empresarial, social y cultural.
Y en ese caminar APRENDEMOS A SER desde un nuevo modelo de ciudadanía. Comprometidos activamente en la consecución de un mundo más equitativo y sostenible, en el que tender la mano con mimo, a los sueños de los demás, mientras APRENDEMOS A APRENDER, desde el COMPROMISO.

Si el principal reto de Fútbolbotella fue romper el ciclo: invisibilidad/insensibilidad/fatalismo, para sacar a la luz la situación de la infancia, víctima de situaciones y conflictos enterrados a los ojos de la mayoría. Y el de Otras Miradas educar en igualdad y en la prevención de la violencia de género desde las aulas con la complicidad de toda la sociedad. La Mar de vida pone el acento en el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible nº14 de Naciones Unidas, animando a la comunidad a «Conservar y utilizar sosteniblemente los océanos, los mares y los recursos marinos.
Y es que, cuando alguien tiene un propósito, encuentra un sentido a su proceso de aprendizaje dotándole de la capacidad necesaria para transformar el mundo.
